Version 0.1.1 Released
A small update before I begin work on the first major update. This version adds two new runes: Flame and Thrust.
Flame🔥
The Flame rune applies a new status effect: Burn. Burn is like poison, except when the enemy it's applied to dies, it spreads to all nearby units. One single burning enemy can create a chain reaction that ignites a whole cluster of enemies.

When another rune is chained from flame, it applies that effect in an AoE around the unit when it dies, similar to Explode but stronger. Additionally, player-targeted effects only activate if the player is near the enemy when it dies, but if they are, the effect gets a massive ×3 power boost!

Thrust🌪️
In contrast to Flame, Thrust is more focused on utility, but it still holds devastating offensive potential nonetheless. This rune's effect pushes enemies back 1 tile. However, if it's blocked by another enemy, both enemies take damage by crashing into each other. The damage scales with the number of thrust runes on the card. Lone enemies can also be slammed into the walls of the arena this way too, dealing even more damage.

Thrust can be chained with itself to knock back enemies an additional tile per chain. It can also be chained with other effects to apply them to both the target and whichever unlucky opponent it slams into. Tile-targeted effects like Explode function regardless of whether the target hits something or not, letting you activate them at a distance.
